The 2026 Tea Harvest Has Successfully Come to an End

Thank you, as always, for your continued support of Kyoto Sōen.

We are delighted to share that this year’s tea harvest has been completed successfully. We are truly grateful to have been able to deliver another season of fresh, delicious shincha (new tea) to all of you.

Kyoto tea is widely recognized throughout Japan for its exceptional quality, and we are proud to have produced and shipped tea this year that lives up to both Kyoto’s long-standing reputation and our own high standards. We feel incredibly fortunate to work in an environment where we can dedicate ourselves to tea cultivation every day, and none of this would be possible without your continued encouragement and support.

Although the new tea season has just come to a close, our work is already focused on the 2027 harvest.

We have now begun bancha harvesting, an important step in preparing our tea bushes to produce healthy new shoots for next year’s first flush. Tea cultivation is much like a year-long relay—every task throughout the seasons contributes to the quality of the next harvest.

Our goal remains the same: to bring you the very best Kyoto tea year after year. We will continue caring for each tea field with patience, sincerity, and close attention to every detail.

We look forward to sharing more updates from our tea gardens in the months ahead. Thank you for being part of our journey, and we hope you’ll continue to enjoy watching our tea fields grow with us.
