Welcome to Kyoto Soen!
our thoughts
Our Mission
sustainable agriculture
Even big goals start from one step in front of you. I am working hard on agriculture because I think that solving the earth’s problems also means contributing to the local community.
win-win
Because we work in a way that depends on the environment, we value connections with people.
We do not engage in work where either one of our business partners (people or nature) wins or loses if we are wise.
food loss
We will continue to be a farmer who considers not only “cultivation” but also “consumption”. Providing information about cooking is one of them.
borderless
It does not simply mean “no borders”; it welcomes all people regardless of race or gender.
our history
Company
Born in Kyoto, he once left Kyoto, but it was only after he left that he realized the charm of Kyoto and started his own business.

Our History
Historically, Kyoto has flourished as a center of culture rather than politics since the Edo period.
Kyoto is still famous around the world as a tourist destination, but “Yamashiro no Kuni”, located at the southernmost tip of Kyoto, offers a slightly different experience from that of Kyoto City.
Rich nature remains and agriculture is thriving.

Our History
What is Reiwa agriculture? ? Is there an “answer” that we are faced with? If you interpret it from numbers rather than emotions,
According to an announcement by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Japan’s food self-sufficiency rate in 2021 (Reiwa 3) was 38% (estimated on a calorie basis), a slight improvement from the record low in 2018. Roughly interpreting this, it means that 38% of the food eaten in Japan is produced domestically, and the remaining 62% is imported from overseas.
I think the biggest thing that farmers can do is to significantly increase this 38%.

Kyoto Soen’s efforts
Effort 1: Rice
In Kyoto, we cultivate the specially cultivated rice Hinohikari from Yamashiro no Kuni.
Effort 2: Japanese tea
Wazuka tea is a production area that has taken advantage of its favorable climatic and soil conditions to cultivate high-quality fragrant green tea since ancient times, and still produces just under 40% of Uji tea. We are proud of our top class production volume.
Effort 3: Herb garden
We are pursuing the possibilities of herbs. Good luck to Kyoto Herb.
Effort 4: Joint development with us farmers
OEM for products delivered directly from farmers
Why not give form to your company’s appeal together with farmers (us)?
