September Already! The Rice is Heading Out!

The hot days have been relentless, but it feels like the heat is finally easing a little. Thankfully, I’ve managed to stay healthy this summer without any signs of heatstroke — a small victory in itself!

Around mid-August, the rice plants began to head out (produce grain heads). Since then, I’ve been carefully irrigating the fields, doing my best to prevent damage from the high temperatures.

Now that September has arrived, you can clearly see the early shape of the brown rice forming — it really feels like harvest season is just around the corner!

That said, September has only just begun. Let’s keep our spirits high and move forward with energy!
