Introducing a fragrant, original tea that blends the gentle richness of Wakocha (Japanese black tea) with handpicked, organically grown chamomile from our own fields in Kyoto.
Wakocha is a rare Japanese black tea, made by fermenting carefully aged green tea leaves. In contrast to foreign black teas, it offers a mild, low-astringency profile and is rich in polyphenols — antioxidants known for helping combat free radicals and supporting healthy aging. This makes Wakocha not only delicious but also beneficial for maintaining overall wellness.
To this delicate tea, we’ve added organic chamomile flowers, grown without pesticides and picked by hand. Chamomile’s apple-like aroma and soft floral sweetness are renowned for their calming effects and may help promote restful sleep. The result is a gentle, floral tea that soothes both body and mind.
How to Brew
For one serving (approx. 150ml):
Use 2–3 grams of the tea blend. Steep in freshly boiled water for 1.5 minutes, then pour into your teacup.
For a slightly deeper flavor, steep for 2.5 to 3 minutes — you can enjoy a second infusion this way.
As the chamomile aroma unfolds, you’ll be enveloped in its floral warmth.
The Wakocha base features a syrupy aroma and natural sweetness, making this tea perfect for enjoying straight.
You can also add honey or agave syrup for extra depth, or brew it extra strong and serve as a royal milk tea.
In summer, it’s refreshing when served chilled as a straight iced tea.
Cold Brew Option
Add 5–10 grams of the tea blend to 1 liter of cold water, let it steep in the refrigerator for about 6 hours, and it’s ready to enjoy.
Cold brewing draws out even more sweetness while minimizing bitterness from caffeine and catechins, creating a smooth, mellow tea perfect for hot days.
A beautiful balance of Japanese craftsmanship and calming herbs, this chamomile-infused Wakocha offers a soothing tea experience you’ll want to return to again and again.
